WESTMINSTER, Calif. — Feature-length and short productions are being sought for the fourth biennial Vietnamese International Film Festival (ViFF). ViFF will be held in Irvine, Los Angeles and Westminster, Calif., in April. Eligible productions must have been made by persons of Vietnamese descent living anywhere around the world, or they must be productions about Vietnamese people or culture in the following categories: narrative, documentary, experimental and animation. There is no fee to enter a production, but all entries must be postmarked by Dec. 31. Selected works will be announced at the end of February. ViFF is an eight-day event uniquely showcasing films made by Vietnamese and Vietnamese diasporic filmmakers. Presented biennially since 2003 by the two nonprofit organizations — Vietnamese American Arts & Letters Association and Vietnamese Language & Culture — ViFF has featured films from all over the world, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Poland, United States and Vietnam.
