Please join State Sen. Lou Correa, Women’s Transitional Living Center, Inc., and Vietnamese Alliance to Combat Human Trafficking. In every country, women, men and children are being deprived of their basic human rights. They are coerced or deceived into conditions of slavery. Many are starving, live in unsanitary conditions, and experience near constant fear for their safety and the safety of their families. The United Nations estimates that there are 12.3 million people living in slavery. The latest automobiles and vehicle trends will be on display when more than 500 new cars, crossovers, SUVs, trucks and more roll into the 2009-model Orange County Auto Show. On display: alternative fuel vehicles, concept cars, exotics, pre-production models and interactive ride and drives. The Auto Show Underground will be filled with the latest in car personalization, aftermarket accessories, high-performance rides and motorcycles. Also a live Sugar Ray concert. E-waste is defined as any consumer electronic equipment that has reached its end of use, whether in full or non-working condition. Includes most electronics or electronic equipments with a cord or circuit board such as computer monitors, television sets, printers, laptops, copiers, scanners, DVD players and more. Orchid Fair

Thousands of orchids will grace the grounds, some in exhibits and some for sale. The show is an official AOS (American Orchid Society) judging event and there will be ribbon judging as well. Orchids from vendors of various countries will be on display and for sale. Orchid-related products, artistic pottery, paintings and books will also be available and there will ongoing lectures on culture and care. Friday: 1-5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission to gardens: adults, $10; seniors, students and active military, $7; children 3-13, $5; members and 2 and under, free. A Gathering of Cultures

th Annual Family Village Festival, a community event for all ages.
