Nga Nguyen earn All-American honors

FAIRBANKS — A day after picking up two All-American honors, the Alaska Nanooks added three more on Thursday, the second day of the 2014 NCAA Division II Championships in Geneva, Ohio.

Margot Adams tied her school record in the 100-yard butterfly to finish fourth and pick up her third All-American honor in two days. The junior finished the race in 54.62 seconds.


The fourth-place finish also gives the Anchorage native three career top-five finishes in the 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Championships.


Margot Adams earned her second All-American honors of the day in the 400-yard medley relay.


Teaming with sister Victoria Adams, Bente Heller and Nga Nguyen, the Nanooks finished eighth in 3:46.76.
