From WIRE REPORTS

It will cost foreign and overseas Vietnamese visitors to nearly double to obtain visas to come to Viet Nam starting next year.

Single-entry visas will cost $45, up from the current $25, according to a statement by the government.

Viet Nam currently is issuing two types multiple-entry visas. A visa lasting six months currently costs $50 and one for a longer stay costs $100.

But the new regulation will charge $95 for a six-month visa and $135 for the other. It also will offer another multiple-time entry visa for less than one month that will cost $65.

The temporary residency card also will cost an additional $20, raising the price to $80 for a one-year card, $100 for one to two years, and $120 for two to three years.
