Outstanding spellers from the Garden Grove Unified School District’s intermediate schools will participate in the annual spelling bee for seventh and eighth-grade students on Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Each of the district’s 10 intermediate schools is sending four representatives to the competition at Edgar School, 6202 Cerulean Ave., Garden Grove. Parents are invited to attend.
The district champion and nine runners-up will represent the GGUSD in the Orange County Spelling Competition at the Orange County Department of Education in Costa Mesa. The written segment is scheduled for Feb. 27, followed by the deciding oral spelling round on March 3.
