LOS ANGELES ― Officials at UCLA have been left to apologize to nearly 900 students who received emails that led the high school seniors to believe the school had accepted them. In actuality, they were placed on the waiting list.
UCLA is one of the most highly competitive campuses in the nation. For the Fall 2011 semester, UCLA accepted just one-fourth of the nearly 62,000 applicants. The average SAT score of those admitted was 2026 on a scale of 2400.
