collecting e-waste
Patton Elementary School in Garden Grove,
Calif., is collecting unwanted electronic components from consumers on Saturday
and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free community service, to support student
scholarships for Outdoor Science School, will take place in the school parking lot at 6861 Santa Rita Ave.
Among the accepted items are monitors, computers, televisions, copiers, fax machines, printers, scanners, cellular phones, telephone sets, DVD players, VCRs, CD players, stereos,
toner cartridges, video game systems, and networking
equipment. A $5 processing fee applies for all microwave ovens.
