“Youth and Education,” the
live education talk show for parents sponsored by the Garden Grove Unified
School District, returns for a new season on Radio Bolsa, KVNR (1480 AM),
beginning Sept. 5, at 7 p.m.
Hosted by educators from the Garden Grove
Unified School District, the 45-minute broadcasts air on alternate Wednesday
evenings with in-studio guests exploring a variety of topics designed to
benefit all parents in helping their children be successful in school. Listeners
are invited to call in with their on-air questions to (714) 918-4455.
The new season’s premiere episode features
discussion on the “Opportunities for Parent Involvement – Parent and Community
Outreach Programs for 2012-2013.” Future installments of “Youth and Education”
will explore positive communication, homework support and test preparation,
high school graduation requirements, AP classes, the PSAT, and special
education.
The season’s final episode will take place on
June 12, 2013.
