Philippines, Vietnam defense ministers meet in Manila to boost ties


The defense ministers of the Philippines and Vietnam held a meeting Monday to discuss perhaps strategically joining as they face mutual concerns regarding security in the West Philippines and South China seas, as well as U.S. policies in the Asia-Pacific region. Manila and Hanoi have held a number of high-level visits and information sharing since signing a cooperation pact three years ago.
