An American teacher working at an international school in Saigon’s District 7 was killed early today when he was run over by a truck, according to Vietnam news reports.

The man, 55-year-old Wayne Madison, was riding his bike to work and turned right onto Luu Trong Lu Street. It was at the intersection of Huynh Tan Phat that a truck driven by Vo Thanh Tam, 23, fatally struck Madison.
He reportedly was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver turned himself in after the accident to police, who said the investigation is continuing.
