A 32-year-old Gainesville man has pleaded not guilty to burglary in the first degree in connection with entering a house and allegedly taking 10 $1 coins.

Tuan Van Nguyen of Gainesville is being held on bond in the Hall County Jail after court records stated he entered a Gillsville Highway residence on Nov. 22 with the intent to commit a theft.
According to the records, Nguyen was found with “ten $1.00 coins in his front right pocket of his pants.”
He pleaded not guilty May 30 and waived appearance at a formal arraignment in Superior Court. A court date has not been set.
