Vietnamese citizen Tran Dinh Hang and his local friend, surnamed Fu, were found guilty of smuggling more than 60 Vietnamese into the country. They earned about 2,000 yuan per person and made at least 120,000 yuan within a year, according to the court.

Tran had been working in Shanghai for several years when friends in Vietnam asked him to help his fellow villagers enter China and get a job. In 2012, Tran and Fu started working together.
