GARDEN GROVE, Calif.– A
42-year-old man was shot in his car while his girlfriend and his
daughter sat in traffic near Westminster Ave and Bushard St. The
suspect, whose name has not been released due to his age, started a
confrontation with the victim for unknown reasons. The suspect then walked
over to the victim and shot several gunshot rounds at the victim.
The victim was shot in the head and back and is expected to survive
his injuries. The suspect was positively identified as the shooter and was
arrested. The small caliber handgun was recovered.

The suspect is on probation as a gang member and does not attend Bolsa Grande HS. The suspect is currently being interview and will later be booked into
Juvenile Hall for attempted murder.
The
Garden Grove Police Department was sent to a shooting that occurred
in Garden Grove. The male that was in the passenger seat was shot.
The female driver attempted to drive the victim to the hospital but
was asked by GGPD dispatch to pull over so the medics could help the
victim which they did. The victim
was transported to UCIMC alive and his condition is unknown at this
time.
