Queensland team boosted by Bundy’s best

When the Australian Junior Table Tennis Championships start Sunday the Queensland team will have goals of claiming individual and team medals, and it has been training for months to beat the best the country has to offer.

And if the boys and girls in maroon do what they set out to do there will be plenty of medals coming back to Bundaberg after the week-long tournament.


Eight Bundaberg players, which make up almost a third of the team, will travel to Brisbane to represent Queensland at the championships which will be held in Sydney.


Queensland Under-13 girls champion, Rebecca Tran, and newcomer Tahnee Green are in the strong U13 girls team which will be attempting to win back-to-back gold medals in their event after winning last year in Melbourne.
