Starting immediately, RFA’s in-depth, investigative brand of award-winning journalism in Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, Cantonese, Khmer, Uyghur, Tibetan, Burmese, and Lao can be heard from anywhere in the United States through a simple mobile telephone call that incurs no extra charges.

For listeners in the global diaspora, RFA offers a unique opportunity to connect with their native countries, learning about the news affecting their families and loved ones there. RFA Mandarin offers 12 hours of broadcast content, including the programs China in Perspective and Voices of the People. RFA Cantonese broadcasts news two hours daily. RFA Korean features interviews with North Korean refugees and developments in North Korea, often affecting North and South Korean relations. RFA Tibetan covers human rights in China’s Tibetan regions. Uyghur news related to China’s ethnic minority in the northwest is also available.
RFA Khmer offers two hours daily of original in-language news, with recent coverage of national elections. RFA Vietnamese features news updates, such as Decree 72’s effects on social media and reports on South Sea developments. RFA Lao reports on dam projects and human rights, with updates on the economy and foreign investment. Finally, RFA Burmese offers updates from Myanmar, via breaking news reports on ethnic tensions and democratic reforms.
