Thailand urged to ensure safety of Vietnamese community

HANOI – Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh has called on authorities in Thailand to continue ensuring the security and safety of Vietnamese citizens currently working and living there.

Minh made the call in a meeting with Thai acting Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow in Hanoi on Thursday, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.


The deputy prime minister said he hoped to see Thailand restore normalcy soon for peace and stability in the region particularly in contributing to the development of the Asean Economic Community (AEC) by 2015.
