A Vietnamese woman was arrested in Krabi on Tuesday after customs authorities found crystal methamphetamine (ya ice) in her luggage.

The customs inspectors at Krabi airport detained Tran Thi Be Hai along with with 3.2kg of ice worth an estimated nine million baht. She was flown to Suvarnabhumi airport for a press conference, department director-general Rakop Srisupat said.
The drug was hidden in 30 plastic bags placed inside eight handbags inside a suitcase, the official added.
