Acclaimed CBS reporter famed for Vietnam work dies at 73


The former CBS News reporter who covered the last flight of refugees leaving Vietnam in 1975 has died. Bruce Dunning, a New Jersey native, died in a New York City hospital from injuries he sustained in a fall. His report on March 29, 1975, filmed on a jet attempting to rescue refugees from a South Vietnam airport was highly regarded and award winning. Dunning was 73.
