Bulgaria President Rosen Plevneliev will lead a delegation of Bulgarian business leaders to Viet Nam in late October, according to the Standart of Bulgaria. The visit is scheduled to include visits to Ha Noi and Sai Gon and is designed to improve economic relations between the nations.

Bulgaria could prove to be an important bridge between Vietnam and the European Union. Bulgaria, as well, is seeking to export wine to Asia. More than 30,000 people from Asian nations have worked in Bulgaria through the years.
Before going to Viet Nam, Plevneliev will go to the United States to take part in meetings at the United Nations and with the Clinton Global Initiative run by former President Clinton.
