A mother herself, San Jose Vice Mayor
Madison Nguyen and her council colleague, Don Rocha,
want the city to offer paid parental leave for both men and women who work for
the city. Nguyen said such an incentive could make it easier to attract workers
to the city. A council committee was scheduled to hear the proposal today.
