Court rejects appeal to stop California’s shark fish ban

A federal appeals court in San Francisco has refused to block a new California law that bans the possession and sale of shark fins that are detached from shark bodies. Two Asian Americans has appealed the law, who said it was discriminatory to Chinese Americans, who traditionally eat shark fin soup at ceremonial festivities.
