Helping Link, a Seattle-based organization that aims to empower
Vietnamese Americans and nurture community service and leadership, is still
collecting donations as part of a community-wide operation called GiveBIG.
Designed by the Seattle Foundation as a one-day event,
the deadline has been extended to allow for more donors. As of Friday morning,
HelpingLink had raised $3,250 from 45 donors. The goal is to bring in $6,000
from 100 donors.
Through the event, all donations made through the Seattle
Foundation’s website will receive a prorated portion of the Foundation’s
matching funds, and each donation will enter Helping Link into a drawing for an
additional $1,000.
All donations made through Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG
website are secure transactions. If you are unable to give online, you still
can give directly to HelpingLink through cash or check. Please not that
donations made directly to HelpingLink will not qualify for the prorated
foundation funds.
