The Mid-Autumn Festival, or Tet Trung Thu as we called it, is just around the corner. The most important thing to have on this holiday? Paper lanterns and, of course, the mooncakes, known as Banh Trung Thu.

Banh trung thu is a pastry traditionally eaten during Tet Trung Thu. The fillings of the cakes vary from lotus seed paste to duck eggs.
The holiday is Monday, so this is the last weekend to get your hands on these cakes for yourself or as gifts. And with little time left, we did the comparison shopping for you, scouting out the supermarkets and bakeries of Little Saigon for your needs.
