Landslide in Khâu Vaicommune, Mèo Vạc district killed 3 people. Nguyen Cao Cuong, chairman of Meo Vac district, said at about 4pm on 1 January, while construction on houses were underway, a group of workers were leveling the ground when the ground eroded. The incident left two dead, one person seriously injured was taken to the emergency room but died on the way to the hospital.
