Filmmaker Timothy Linh Bui, born in
Viet Nam and raised in Northern California, is working on his third film set in
his homeland. The winner of three awards at the Sundance festival, the
42-year-old Bui now is in production on a romantic comedy in Viet Nam. He
shared his thoughts on the atmosphere of making movies in Asia, as well as the
current crop of Vietnamese filmmakers, with John Boudreau of the Mercury News.
