Law will allow non-legal resident to man California polling places


Calif. Gov. Jerry Brown has signed into law a bill that allows up legal residents who are not citizens to work at polls on Election Day. The goal of the new law is to encourage voters who previously have shied away from voting, largely over language barriers, to go to the polls.
