Lending a helping hand rather than holidaymaking will be the aim of a group of Portland teenagers next week.

Eighteen former Bayview College students will head to Vietnam as part of a 10-day trip jam-packed with voluntary work at schools and kindergartens.
Bayview students have participated in the Schoolies With A Cause (SWAC) program for the past two years and are already fund-raising for next year’s event.
School-leaver Danika Koenig said the Vietnam trip was her first holiday outside Australia.
“I know the students at Thanh Loc don’t have the same privileges that I have,” she said.
