Rochester, N.Y. — The woman convicted of lying on documents to buy guns used in the deadly 2012 Christmas Eve ambush in Webster was sentenced to 1 and 1/3 to 4 years in state prison on Monday.

Dawn Nguyen was sentenced to 1 1/3 years to 4 years in prison for lying on a firearms transaction form in 2010 on Monday, May 19, 2014. Nguyen starts to cry a little while her attorney, Matthew Parrinello gives the judge his recommendation for her sentencing. (TINA MACINTYRE-YEE, Democrat and Chronicle)


Dawn Nguyen was sentenced for falsifying business records to buy guns for William Spengler, who set fire to his Lake Road home Dec. 24, 2012 and opened fire on first responders from the West Webster Fire Department.
