A 130-car CSX train struck a trailer filled with watermelons that had stalled on railroad tracks near The Villages retirement community, the Florida Highway Patrol said today.

Watermelons were strewn around the site of the crash near busy U.S. Highway 301 where it intersects with Sumter County Road 104, the FHP said. Semi driver Vincent Vuong Tran, 45, of Garden Grove, Calif., was not injured in the accident, which occurred at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday.
