GARDEN GROVE, Calif. — A 14-year-old student was arrested Thursday on suspicion of leaving threatening notes at Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove after school staff recognized his writing and alerted investigators.

The first bomb threat note was found by a student on Tuesday and reported to school staff. The school was quickly placed on lockdown and authorities were called.
Garden Grove police evacuated the more than 2,000 students on campus and conducted a search of the school. They cleared the campus by about 3:30 p.m.
At the end of school Wednesday, another note was found on campus referencing a fire that had occurred over the weekend and the Tuesday bomb threat. It warned of a future shooting at the school.
