Saigon hosted the first ever Vietnam International Fashion Week December 1 to 6, 2014, with 17 shows presented by 20 international and local designers, many belonging to the Asian Couture Federation (ACF).

Arranged in collaboration with Project Runway Vietnam and Multimedia JSC as part of the FIDé Fashion Weeks, the event took place at the brand new convention space Gem Center, where guests varied from successful entrepreneurs of the local fashion industry to showbiz celebrities, fashion bloggers and the media.
The six international designers, who are part of the Asian Couture Federation, included Zio Song from Korea, well-known for his philosophical design approach; Frederick Lee, Singapore’s “Godfather of Couture” who showcased designs with his signature use of exotic feathers; Somarta (Tamae Hirokawa) from Japan, a protégée of Issey Miyake; Issue, known as Thailand’s foremost avant-garde designer’ and Tsolo Munkh from Mongolia, who introduced a collection inspired by Buddhism and green steppe.
Adding to the international lineup was On Aura Tout Vu, the French couture house created by the duo Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov, as well as Italian couturier Antonio Grimaldi.
