ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —Manzano High School staff and students are mourning the loss of a classmate.
Vietnamese girl dead in apartment fire had stayed home from school. (KOAT)
On Wednesday afternoon, a southeast Albuquerque home on Black Gold Street caught on fire. The Albuquerque Fire Department said a 16-year-old girl died in the upstairs bedroom.
The girl attended Manzano.
The girl reportedly stayed home from school, sick on Wednesday. AFD hasn’t released the cause of the fire yet.
