Sometimes people use analogies to put things into perspective and for the people of MSNBC and Food & Wine magazine, they decided sandwiches best represented the Democratic nominees.

In that vein, they decided Bernie Sanders was much like Banh mi (“a little weird, a little unconventional, and a little spicy to many Americans’ tastes”). Hillary Clinton was compared to the ubiquitous Subway, while Lincoln Chafee was deemed a wrap. Martin O’Malley was likened to a soft-shell crab (well known in Baltimore but not widely known elsewhere.) Jim Webb got the unsavory distinction of being a mushy egg salad.
