One couple in Houston learned the hard way that keeping large amounts of cash at home might not be a good idea. Pauline Nguyen said she was robbed of close to $100,000 of cash she kept at her home in Houston.

Police said four armed men broke into the home were wearing ski masks. Nguyen’s brother, Hai Tran, was also home at the time. He said the suspects placed guns to their heads and shoved them in a bathroom.

According to Nguyen, the suspects said very little.

“Just keep quiet and follow what they order,” she said.

Police said the suspects stole about $100,000 cash, along with jewelry and the family’s truck. But, they said, parts of the crime were captured by surveillance video. The family’s kids weren’t home at the time and no one was hurt.

Nguyen feels thankful, even after losing so much. Detectives are reviewing the surveillance video from inside the home. Anyone with information about the suspects is urged to contact the Houston Police Department.
