Vietnam’s public debt climbs to over $1000/citizen

Vietnam’s public debt is currently at $ 94.85 billion and if this debt divided by the population of over 91 million people, on average, every citizen of Vietnam is carrying a debt of just under $ 1.050 USD. Tri Thuc Tuoi Tre newspaper quoted communist prime minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, saying quote “the Public debt is an increasing challenge due to macroeconomic policies in Vietnam.”
