My Nguyen, 17, recalls his middle school years. Angry. A fighter. A boy trying to hide the fact he realized he was gay from those who wouldn’t understand. A few years later, he found himself homeless, sleeping near graves in a cemetery. Fast forward a couple of years. Nguyen now fights for human rights and has won national recognition for his work with homeless teens and immigrants. Read the story  by Joe Robertson in The Kansas City Star.
