The group is Army’s largest contingent(former mark was two) selected with McCravey tabbed for first-team honors at third base, Nguyen was named to the second unit as an outfielder with Rashenskas and Smith third-team selections at second base and utility/pitcher, respectively.
It is the first time that McCravey, Rashenskas and Smith were tabbed for All-Region honors and is the second time in her career that Nguyen was honored, having been named to the NFCA second unit as an outfielder in 2012.
McCravey is just the fourth Black Knight chosen by the NFCA for first-team all-region honors, and is the second straight year an Army player was selected as she joins former teammate Alex Reynolds, who was chosen as a second baseman in 2013.
It marks the third postseason accolade for McCravey, who was selected to the All-Patriot League second team and All-Tournament team last week.
The Scottsdale, Ariz., native led the Black Knights and ranked among the Patriot League leaders in batting (.388), doubles (10), home runs (seven), RBI (44), total bases (92), slugging (.605) and on-base percentage (.427). She was second in the conference in RBI, home runs and slugging percentage, fourth in total bases and sixth in on-base percentage.
