Vietnam. One of the most interesting countries. Yet many do not know anything about the culture and people who live in this country located in South East Asia.

Everything is about to change on that notion. From 1961-1971, the American military sprayed 20 million gallons of herbicide over five million acres of South Vietnam.


There are four million people affected, and research has shown that the effects of the dioxin used in the herbicides are transgenerational affecting second and third generations of Vietnamese and American soldiers.


During the Vietnam War, America made a huge effort to defeat the National Liberation Front and the North Vietnamese Army.


During this time, the U.S. concocted the idea to destroy the native trees, forests and jungle to lessen the camouflage of the guerrillas. Thus, the U.S. unleased a massive defoliation campaign.


19 million gallons of herbicide was used during the war that affected 4.8 million Vietnamese people along with thousands of U.S. military personnel.


In the face of the original public relations associated with the use of Agent Orange designed to make it appear safe and humane, it was chemical warfare. It is not a hyperbole to suggest that it was genocidal.
