MIAMI — Loved ones are asking for answers after a young boy was shot and killed at his family’s nail salon, Friday evening.

Ten-year-old Aaron Vu was shot at the Hong Kong Nails Salon
Ten-year-old Aaron Vu was shot at the Hong Kong Nails Salon, off of Northwest Seventh Avenue and 148th Street.
Vu leaves behind a mother, father and two siblings, ages 8 and 5.
Police said two men, caught on surveillance video, pulled open the shop’s door and burst in and robbed the place. As they were leaving, shots were fired, fatally striking the boy and injuring his father in the arm, 42-year-old Hai Nam Vu.
Aaron’s father, Hai Nam Vu, is a former U.S. Marine. He is currently at the Ryder Trauma Center in intensive care. He woke up from a coma only to be given the horrifying news. “He cried a lot,” Ky Bu, Hai Nam’s brother said. “He couldn’t talk. A lot of emotion, a lot of pain.”
Aaron’s mother, Lynn Ma, left Jackson Memorial Hospital, too distraught to speak to anyone.
Monday was spent by family and friends pleading to the public for help, as Miami-Dade Police handed out flyers at the scene of the crime.
