The officials include one deputy director general of the Vietnam Railways Corporation (VRC), two deputy directors of the VRC’s Railway Project Management Unit (RPMU) and a project manager, reported Bao Giao Thong (Transport News), an online newspaper under Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport.

The offices of these people have been sealed to serve the investigation, said Bao Giao Thong.

In a related movement on Monday, the Vietnam Railway Administration decided to suspend the RPMU director from work.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, at a regular government session late March, ordered related agencies to promptly investigate the case and closely coordinate with the Japanese side during the investigation.
