HANOI — The first-ever national conference discussing Vietnam’s multilateral foreign affairs during the course of across-the-board international integration will take place here on Tuesday, with around 200 delegates taking part, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.

It will be attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, together with former Director General of the World Trade Organisation Pascal Lamy, former United Nations Under-Secretary General Jayantha Dhanapala and former Singaporean Foreign Minister George Yeo as keynote speakers.
The event will seek ways to improve Vietnam’s multilateral external relations and its contributions to issues of shared concerns, regionally and globally, as the country is expected to undertake many international roles in the next 5-10 years.
