Father Basil Doan traveled from
Viet Nam to minister to two Catholic parishes in rural Western Missouri, and
said he enjoys his peaceful existence, even if it is far from home. Vietnamese
priests like Doan have called the area home since the mid-1970s, and
increasingly, Vietnamese-born pastors are finding their way into Catholic
