Nguyen Thi Tru has been declared by The World Records Union as the world’s oldest living woman  at age 120. The number of people who have been living for more than 100 years is small, and a person who has celebrated 120 birthdays is special.

According to the organization, its recognition is completely based on an independent review of collected documents.

Earlier on April 20, the World Records Association (WRA) had already recognized Nguyen as the world’s oldest living woman.
Nguyen, who was born on May 4, 1893, has 11 children, including three sons. Of them, 10 passed away. Her eighth child, Nguyen Thi De, is now 82. Her secret to long life?

 “Unselfishness,” Nguyen said.
