Summing up 2016, Vietnam saw 21.590 traffic accidents, killing 8.685 people, leaving over 19.000 people injured. On 4 January, Khuất Việt Hùng, vice chairman of the Commission of the National Traffic Safety reported these numbers at the annual National Conference review of traffic safety in Hanoi.
