The finalists of Miss Vietnam (Prague Post)
A dozen finalists will compete Sept. 28 in Prague for the title Miss Vietnam České republiky – Open for Europe.

Proceeds from the fourth annual beauty contest will be used to the support efforts by Development Worldwide, Info-Dráček and Svaz Vietnamců v ČR to fight the effects of dioxins in Vietnam, a legacy of the war that ended in 1975. Dioxins are highly toxic chemicals that persist in the ecosystem. The chemical was used in large quantities as part of defoliant and had been linked to a range of birth defects and illnesses.
The final round of the Miss Vietnam České republiky contest will take place at the representation hall Dong Do at the SAPA business and cultural center in Prague’s Libuš district.
A jury of Czech and Vietnamese celebrities and representatives of the contest partners will vote for the winner.
