ATHENS, Ga. — The season continues for Harvard junior Denis Nguyen as he stands as the lone Ivy remaining in the individual competition at the 2014 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships.

The 39th-ranked Nguyen was a straight-set winner for the second-straight day with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Duke’s Fred Saba. South Carolina’s Andrew Adams await Nguyen in a Friday Round of 16 match at 11 a.m. at Georgia’s Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
The Anaheim, Calif., native almost pulled off a second victory on Thursday as he and senior Casey MacMaster pushed UCLA’s Marcos Giron and Mackenzie McDonald to third-set tiebreak before the Bruins pair prevailed 7-6, 4-6, 7-6.
