Seattle has almost too many food trucks to count. Like all things in the Pacific Northwest, they are built on a solid foundation of unique taste and fresh ingredients. The vast majority of the city’s food trucks are constantly traveling from location to location. We delved into the gorgeous South Lake Union district to get a taste for some of the finest mobile food Seattle is dishing up.

One truck that really stands out for us is Plum Burgers. Plum Bistro is a popular Seattle spot known for its vegan menu. The gourmet food truck doesn’t disappoint either. With vegan burgers like the Jerk+Yam (grilled Jamaican spice tofu, yam, pickled cabbage, caramelized onions and tomato) or our favorite, the Buffalo Portobello (panko crusted portobello, ranch aioli, cucumber, caramelized onions and seasonal greens), it’s easy to see why this is a local favorite.


If you’re more of a carnivore though, don’t despair. Nosh is a hip local favorite that prides itself on classic dishes with modern twists. If fish and chips or herb basted rabbit (local and sustainable, of course) tickle your fancy, this is the truck for you. The serpentine line that wrapped around the Nosh truck was all the recommendation we needed.
