State Senator Janet Nguyen announced she has been selected to participate in a 2 year public leadership program hosted by The Aspen Institute.

The invitation-only Rodel Fellowship Program is meant to nurture bipartisanship, political civility, and the ideals of democracy.
The institute chooses 24 emerging elected officials between the ages of 25 and 50 to participate, including 12 Republicans and 12 Democrats, the release stated.
Nearly 250 elected officials have participated in the fellowship program since its inception in 2005.
