Son Doong cave in Northern Vietnam made waves when it was discovered in 2009, and the demand to venture inside is high.

(Carston Peter (Hosted)/www.sondoongcave.org): The name “Son Doong” cave means “mountain river cave” and was discovered in 2009.

However, with a waitlist and a $3000 price tag, many won’t get a chance to traverse the caves themselves, so they can try the next best thing: watching this virtual tour photographer Ryan Deboodt took using a GoPro camera attached to a drone.

The scenery is splendid and gives you an idea of just how massive and grand this cave is. Son Doong Cave is 2.5 million years old and so large, it has an underground river, lake and rainforest. The cave has more 150 individual caves inside it and the largest one is so massive, you could fly a 747 through it.
