There is something to be said about seeing hundreds and thousands of chinese lanterns light up the night sky and this year, the Lantern Fest is hoping to take their venue to more cities around the US!

The Lantern Fest was launched last year to encourage families to spend more time together and is family friendly. The festival donates a portion of the proceedsto a local charity. The 2015 Lantern Fest Tour promises over 25 new locations around the country, starting in Colorado Springs, CO on April 25th.
The coordinators say the lanterns are 100% bio-degradeable and team members track and retrieve 90% of them after an event. Participants 15 years and younger are free of charge, cannot be a part of the lantern lighting. Orange County is slated to have a location but hasn’t been confirmed yet.
